By "original artwork," I'm referring to the original comic book pages,
before they've been printed and colored. This is the actual
artwork that goes to the printer to be made into your favorite comic
books.
Collecting original artwork isn't cheap. Cost factors include the
quality of the drawing, the location of the page in the book, the
popularity and rarity of work by the artist, and the popularity of the
characters on the page. For these pieces of artwork I've paid
anywhere from $35 to $500 for a page.
All of the artwork on this page is original pieces drawn
by artists who have worked for a major comic book company and have
appeared as pages in comic books produced by DC Comics. I have
purchased all of the artwork on this page.
