George
Perez and His Immediate Successors (early 1980's)
Most fans are familiar with the New Teen Titans team of the 1980s.
Using the name Changeling, Gar became a founding member.
After George
Perez left, the next few artists tried to maintain the character styles
he set down. He set the bar for artists to come.
After
Perez, in many of the comics, Gar's coloring seems... off. He goes from
a more emerald green to a sort of yellow-ish green. It's not known if
it's the
colorist, the printing process or the aging of the comics. Later
on
this seems straightned out and Gar goes back to his deeper green color.
